Buy this guide, 2010-06-29
If you intend to buy a guide to the Norfolk Broads this is THE one to buy.

The book is well laid out tourist information in the first half, with the second half taken up with maps and very importantly a simple but effective system showing, moorings, water points and other vital information.

I bought two other guide books and an OS Map before visiting the area, but this guide was in constant use. The ease of use and the wire bound format with a flap containing a key etc, which also helps to keep the relevant pages to hand makes it a well thought out and very informative reference.

Excellent and simple, 2010-06-12

There is a lot in here aimed at the complete beginner - both beginner cooks (not me) and beginners with GI (much more like me) - and I can understand the book being dismissed by those with more experience and knowledge - although I feel that's a bit of a mistake. The recipes are indeed easy and ingredients easy to find. I found the short intro on why low GI is "good" both logical and easier than many others I've tried to understand. I've tried about six of the recipes so far and all have been absolutely delicious. I can't imagine not liking them and they were all fairly quick so suitable for after work cooking.

I do think there is a lot of sugar in the pudding recipes, and it would have been nice to have seen lower GI substitutes, but on the other hand, it should be remembered that this is neither a weightloss guide nor a fanatic's guide to GI, but a very good intro to healthy family eating the GI way. So long as you're not expecting anything else, I'd definitely recommend it strongly.

If you are looking for a dictionary with cheap price I suggest this one, because it is a little one with big knowledge. You cannot find everything but you can find what you need.

Evocative, brilliant and compelling, 2010-06-29
The Peregrine is excellent. A lyrical, yet down to earth description of a winter tracking a pair of these formidable birds. The author, whose identity and whose concerns are concealed, records in his diary his daily visits to the territory occupied by the peregrines. He shows us how they live, how they hunt and how they kill. I was fascinated. This must be one of the great classics of natural history writing - I strongly recommend it.
