Been there since the start with Blindsighted which in many ways was a total 'can't put it down' experience. Tryptych was much the same but introducing Will Trent as the main Character. I was fully expecting another thriller to make your toes tingle but this just fell a little short. The story is a good one, and I urge you to go and read it - just don't expect fantastic value for money (this time)but it's still worth your hard earned cash!

No, *wow* moments no sharp intakes of breath as you read and no expletives when Slaughter knocks your socks off with her writing. A good solid basis for a crime/thriller but not a 5* read that would get you burning the midnight oil.

Can't Recommend Highly Enough, 2008-08-28
'These Are The Days That Must Happen To You' chronicles two epic bike journeys undertaken by journalist/thinker/hellraiser Dan Walsh: firstly a trip the length of the African continent to Cape Town and a second journey from Canada down to Buenos Aires in South America. Although much of the book's content has previously appeared in Bike magazine, this shouldn't stop you buying this fantastic book.
For those of us that harbour dreams of The Big Bike Trip, Dan is an inspiration. He stopped dreaming and got on and did it. And how. The writing often manages to be incredibly moving and yet laugh out loud funy on the same page. We follow the author in his journeys through incredible landscapes, break-downs, run-ins with the law, run-ins with border guards and encounters in countless bars across the continents.
Buy this book.

Fantastic book - gave me my own miracle, 2008-08-25
I'd read an interview with LB on the Daily TElegraph, ordered it immediately and read it in one day.At 6pm having put the book down, I went to the computer to see what others were saying about it. While doing that, came across www.lornabyrne.com and opened that, found that Lorna invites us to write to her and ask questions. As my young husband is dying, and I had been interested in the way she coped with her husband's passing, I told her about it and asked her to pray for me. Within 60 seconds of me pressing 'submit', the bell to the outside door rang. I went out and there saw a beautiful young woman full of life and laughter. She asked if she could show me a portfolio of oil paintings done by herself and friends. I agreed. The paintings were all beautiful, and then she came to one,saying: This is the one I did, it is of an angel. My jaw dropped, my hair stood on end as I realised that this was Lorna's answer to me to tell me that she, and/or her angels had been listening to my prayer for courage and help. Can you believe it? An angel was sent to me!
I believe it.

I bought this after reading reviews and it is another of my favourites now added to my small collection of cookery books..really good in explaining things. recipes are good and basic.. and above they are things that you can eat day to day..
would recommend...

A brilliant easy summer read - much better than her last one!, 2008-07-23
I'm a big fan of Katie Fforde and have read every book since The Rose Revived. Unlike her last book, which was drivel, I actually enjoyed the characters in this one, and it made a change to have a book which wasn't based around a canal boat! Everyone loves a wedding, and a celebrity wedding even more so.

OK, so, how the love lives would pan out was obvious from the start - so what? That to me is one of the joys of KF's books - you don't have to think too hard :-) If you want something that makes you think, go get The Guardian. If you want a relaxing book to take on the beach this summer, that's going to cheer you up because you know from the start everything will turn out well - this fits the bill perfectly!

Wow What a brilliant book. i couldnt wait for this book to come out as its the follow on to Angel, i hope there are plenty more books to follow. its so close to katies real life with the depression that angle has. its full of sex drama and scandal and just proves that all the money in the world cant make a marriage work and make you happy. its just a easy and wonderful read. Well done Katie keep them coming cant wait for the next.

Sail - was just what I needed!, 2008-08-01
After reading You've been warned by the same authors I wondered if this book was going to be such hard going! To my delight this was a book I did not want to put down and found myself reading it through the night.

James Paterson deserves his money as he has produced some brilliant books which I have enjoyed. His skill from going from tense thrillers to love stories, one off stories to follow on stories speaks for itself and I hope he is around for many years for me to continue reading and enjoying his books.

As for SAIL read it and enjoy!

Simply Outstanding!, 2008-08-11
Banksy's Wall and Piece is simply an amazing collection of his graffiti art all across the UK and the world. His unique style has won him international acclaim to fame. His artwork is not just vandalism but sends out a political statement which is bold and isn't afraid to mention things we would otherwise keep quiet. I first heard Banksy on a news website when he created another piece of work and then visited his website banksy.com, and since then fallen in love with his work. The other day I came across the book in a store and really enjoyed his collection of work. This is a must have book for any of those interested not just in art, but also those who have been shaped by the news in recent years.

To be honest, I am not a massive fan of art, or graffiti either but this is totally different! 5 STARS well deserved!
