There is a wealth of information in the book. It is organised well and covers most areas of the topic in good detail. Not only is it a good "facts and figures" book but the photography and diagrams are excellent too. A "must have" for anyone interested in the subject. Also useful as an educational tool for older children.

This book is one of the best I've brought. The information is written in brief sections and yet it's well explained and easy to understand. It presents complex ideas in a way that lets the reader think they could give Einstein a run for his money. The photos are excellent and some are beautiful. The book is well worth the money and I'd recommend it.

I bought this book to learn a little more about the ocean and its ecosystems so that I could keep up with my own teenagers! I was totally impressed from the word go. The photographs are fantastic but the book is so usefully divided up into manageable sections that once I start to read a section I can't put it down. Packed with valuable information, this is much more than just a coffee table picture book. A great resource for students and parents alike.
