Not the most technical or comprehensive book you'll ever read, but if you know little or nothing about Bettas, this book will give you all the information you need to get started with these lovely little fish. In particular, it has some helpful suggestions on tankmates and plants for a Betta community aquarium, which is infinitely better for your fish than keeping it in solitary confinement in a featureless glass jar.

This book is great for beginners... would have liked a few more pictures though.If your looking to start an aquarium than you can't go far wrong with this, it gives good infomation about bactiria levels, chemicals and problems.
