my wife has had bipolar since her teens, but it was only just diagnosed in the last 2 years, she is adamant about leaving the family and trying to beat this on her own, this book goes through all the problems that partners go through, a lot of it was so true to life it was like it was written for us, my wife refuses to read the book as it identifies her illnes, she cant accept what she has, this book is like a lifeline to carers and partners alike, i would recommend it to anyone who has to live with the illness.
