This is a great resource for all dog ailments. It is clear concise and very interesting. It has helpful information on diet and ways to keep your dog healthy, prevention is always better then cure and it is invaluable for a first time dog owner like me. The downside is that you enter a world of all the possible things you dog can catch, develop and suffer from, hence my title, so try not to see this book as a spotting guide. All in all a well written and fascinating book.

I found this to be a very clearly written and well laid-out training guide with photos to illustrate each step of the way. Trying the basic steps, my dogs immediately knew what I wanted (sit & lie-down) much to my delight. I am slowly working through the book and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone without experience in dog training as a must-have.

As a dog lover I cannot rate this book highly enough, its a little book and at about 170 pages I was surprised with how much information is contained therein.There can be many problems with dogs but I truly believe they can be solved with a little patience and compassion and this guide will give you the info needed.

From pulling on the lead to chasing cars and fear biting this book covers it all.Aggression, nervousness and obesity can all be tackled effectively with the help provided.Every aspect of training is shown in a clear step by step format with photos of the participating dogs that would melt your heart.This book will appeal to children or those of us with a short attention span.top stuff...

I bought this book early last year and loved it, so much so, I have purchased a copy from Amazon for a Xmas present (2009)for a friend. I have loads of dogs books, but this one is my favourite, because it covers everything an owner would need to know from when a dog mates to when a dog grows old. Fab book!
