 My 6 year old adored this book, 2001-05-16
This is a wonderful book where the pull out, pop up human body is only slightly taller than my six-year old. As with most six-year olds, the gruesomeness of the layers of skin, muscle, bone and organs really appealed as he lifted up lungs and opened up intestines. Very good for showing how the organs are situated in a three-dimensional way. Only complaint is that although there are some interesting facts, I feel there could have been more information in the book, although this does not seem to be the primary purposes.

What a refreshing approach to `grow youthful' and not growing old and decrepit! I read this book from cover to back and was inspired by the many intelligent and easy to implement suggestions on how to improve my life-style and food intake. The meticulous and wide ranging research is easy to understand. The author explains the impact of unnatural foods in a way that makes the reader think twice about picking up processed food or `nuke' food in a microwave oven just to "save time", which is a shortcut that eventually will result in a much shorter lifespan, fraught with unnecessary dis-eases.
This is a wonderful step-by-step guide to consult time and again to help achieve and maintain a healthy body for the remainder of my life.

Excelent introduction to the body, 2001-10-04
I bought this book for my 5 year old. My mother had a triple-heart bypass and my daughter who was 4 1/2 at the time wanted to know more about what happened to Nanny's heart. Where is my heart she asked ?This book describes the body to a child with clear drawings in a language which is easy to comprehend without causing concern. Full marks to the author/illustrator and the bookseller, in California, who recommended it to me. An excellent and well read present/gift.
