Average rating of 5/5 Excellent book for both students and practitioners, 2006-10-12
This book is compact and yet rich with valuable information on carrying out every aspect of hydrgeological investigation. Written in a smooth, easy to understand way devoid of technical jargons, this book is the book that enabled me to distinguish between seemingly confusing terms in hydrogeology. It will increase your interest and knowledge in the all-important field of groundwater hydrology. Its practical approach is immensely valuable. A good buy anyday.

Average rating of 4/5 Good basic book, 2004-02-16
A good basic introduction to global hydrology. The layout is good, with each chapter being divided up into many short, specific sections so it's very easy to find what you are looking for. Figures support the text well. A little expensive but it's probably a good investment.

Average rating of 5/5 Isotope ecologists should buy this book, 2008-10-04
A cracking (often humorous) introduction to the world of stable isotopes written by probably one of the most active isotope ecologists in the world.
Includes a CD (poss. a DVD) with lots of handy .xls sheets.
I heartily recommend this book to any one either starting out in biology and wanting to use SIA, or even those who have already cut their iso-teeth.
