This is an excellent pocket sized book to accompany the EXAM SUCCESS IEE CODE OF PRACTICE 2377 in portable appliance testing it is bang up to date with the latest legislation for the City and Guilds 2377-11 and 2377-12 it covers the in service inspection and testing of electrical equiptment second edition, not unlike the other book Exam success it is well written by a very experienced electrical consultant who for a change knows what he is taking about !The book is comprehensive as it is consise, it well laid out in sections and relevant. It has excellent schematic diagrams showing different appliances, it shows the table for routine testing of different kinds of appliances in different types of work situations. It is good value for money. I bought it before I go to college for two days to take the PAT exam and test on line it is invaluable for that. Recommended to first timers and a refresher to others who wish to keep up to date.

Good Overview + Resource, 2010-04-14
This book is a great overview of manufacturing methods. It covers most of the processes in a brief but concise manner (look inside book for further details). It's perfect for someone studying product design or if you work in the field and need some manufacturing inspiration. The book has given me a much broader knowledge of manufacturing and the pros/cons of each process. For more in-depth knowledge I can then research it specifically elsewhere.

The book gets 5 stars, the service 1. I bought it off of Amazon's 'Preferred Merchant' - Indigo Starfish, which took a lot longer to arrive than direct from Amazon, probably because they are not based in UK mainland. It's happened twice so I won't buy from them again. I'd advise buying it from a different online retailer if this is the case. Amazon previously banned my review when I recommended which retailer.
