Authoritive and covers many unusual aspects, 2010-08-25 The book is full of concise clear and authoritative advice. What I especially like is some of the aspects which could be counted as peripheral but which add so much knowledge and inform decisions. For example, a chunk about the heat required in the hive and how it is maintained and the implications of different variations from the ideal. A smaller section on the sound of the buzz and how it relates to the speed of the wings sounds comparatively unimportant but when you are out trying to identify flitting insects it can add that little something to help the identification. This wasn't the first book I read so you would imagine that some sections were less fresh and consequently of less interest. This is not the case; I have been entranced by what I have read so far (two thirds of the way through). My family might just say it is because I am obsessed. They may have a point!

I <3 CGP!, 2009-12-20 CGP revision guides must be the best revision guides out there. They're are great value for money and I love the way each one is specifically tailored to each of the exam boards.
This particular A2-Level Biology guide gives well detailed explanations of each topic covered by AQA, yet keeps everything concise enough to just be able to skim through it when revising. It provides a fresh (and quite humorous) alternative to my standard college text book.
CGP got me through my GCSEs, AS-Levels and will be a great help in the run up to my A2 exams in January and the summer.

Bond 11+ Best Papers Available, 2009-11-05 Got these Maths and English Multiple Choice papers for my child sitting the new Transfer Test in Northern Ireland (no longer 11+) and found these papers to be fabulous for their content and the fact that they explain every answer not just give you the answer and you have to work out how that is the correct answer. I have myself got a Masters in Advanced Accounting and am able to deal with all the maths problems but some wording makes you think and you dont always get the answer as easy as you think so the workings out are invaluable.

This is as its says on the cover, 2010-02-23 I am doing my level 3 apprenticeship and this guide book is invaluable.
It takes you through all the inspection and testing procedures and most important it tells you in plain english. The calculations are shown and explained, and there are interesting questions for you to answer at the back of the book.
I dont think you will find anything to beat this guide for information & price

Brilliant read, 2010-06-08 I read this book because it was on the reading list for a course I was doing in counselling skills, but I would recommend it to anyone not just counselling students. This book is a brilliant read, I couldn't put it down - it's funny, fascinating and at some points rather shocking. The author is extremely honest, he holds nothing back from the reader and therefore gives you a really interesting insight into how psychotherapists think and the diverse type of people/situations they deal with.
