Very clear, good advice, 2010-03-07
A very interesting book even if you are not trying to train your dog. Even though I do not have a horse I would now be very interested in seeing Monty Roberts work with horses.
I have a young, very strong dobermann and am currently putting into action the 4 processes that Jan describes. I'm not having success at quite the same speed with which she achieves it but am definitely seeing an improvement in my dogs behaviour- ie pulling like a train on the lead and always trying to dash out the door infront of me!

Very good book, bit like the Cheese and Onion, so if you like that one you will like this book. Its to the point, so its better to use it together with another more detailed book. Its good for last minte revision as it has all the main points. Also because its small you can easily carry it around on the wards for reference purposes.

I just recieved the skeletal wall chart today and i am very impressed. It is clear and a must for anyone wishing to study anatomy or anthropology. It's actually bigger than what i expected and very detailed. Top marks!

This Planisphere focuses on the northern skies: Northern Europe, Northern USA, and Canada.
Simple and straightforward, 2010-01-12
Very nicely done. The planisphere being made out of plastic, it's more resistant to wear and tear. An older similar counterpart, from ESO is made out of cardboard, which is not the best idea. The fact that it also has a "How To" guide makes it easy to use even by a complete novice.

This is one of the first books I read on neuroscience and I strongly recommend it. It is full of fascinating and inspiring cases and excellent information about how we can use our mind to shape our brain, and improve performance and satisfaction. It's not a heavy read at all, but you feel you are getting access to 'proper science'. Great resource for coaches.
