Mental fitness, 2007-08-06 This book discusses not only effective behaviour in the professional environment, but also the challenges of work-private life balance that many upcoming managers face. It offers credible ways of coping. It has a sound blend of insights from therapy and practical business advice for those who have to cope with everyday paradox style management decisions.
This book is not promoting itself boastingly like in comparison the "multiple habits" series does. Instead, it maintains a practical style and the advices can easily be selected for the applicable situation.
No guru-style talk, just plain advice. That's why in my practice I find this book helpful for developing professionals and managers. Self-esteem, self confidence, self organization: that is the kind of questions this book will answer.
But, if you consider yourself wise beyond learning, then don't try this book. Buy a mirror instead ;-)

A great book & British too!, 2007-08-24 There are a lot of great books out there for beginners, but most of them are American, so the resources pages are not helpful to those of us starting out in the UK.
This book is published by Broad Leys, who are a small independent British publishers specialising in books for smallholders, homesteaders, poultry keepers and organic gardeners.
Exactly what I was looking for!

Step by step guide to clinical med, 2008-01-31 This book is a must have for all medical students entering their clinical years. Read it early! I only discovered the gems contained within this book when my OSCE's were approaching as it had been collecting dust on the shelf and I was kicking myself that I hadn't read it earlier. Plenty of pictures and illustrations to clarify the procedures.

Most comprehensive guide on crystals out there!, 2008-08-21 I am a beginner when it comes to crystals and this book was a fantastic introduction for me, although I don't think it would be out of place in the expert's collection either.
It is very clear and well set out with large colourful photos of each crystal. The crystals are in alphabetical order listing their healing attributes and the position of use. From what I could tell there seems to be a very wide collection of well known and rarer crystals listed.
At the start of the book there is a section on crystal formation and crystal healing. The shapes of the crystals and the effect that it has on their healing properties is written about at the back of the book. These sections really helped me with what to actually do with the crystal now I have got the right one for me.
Overall this is a wonderful purchase for the crystal enthusiast or the crystal beginner!

fabulous, 2007-07-31 This is a must have textbook for paediatrics for medical students. From what I've heard it's pretty much the recommended text in most places, and for good reason!
All the information you need to know is written out in simple English. The chapters focus on the important conditions within the different systems as well as other additional information that is pertinent in the field. eg. child protection and genetics
Worth every penny and is bound to get you through exams.

'business as usual' .... I don't think so., 2008-07-22 no politition could read this book and stay in office with 'business as usual' without being in total denial. not sensational in it's presentation, but leaves little to the imagination. Surely we've had it, haven't we? Don't leave too much money to your children - it will be of little use.
