Average rating of 4/5 Ok but gets to the point of headache, 2010-05-10
Yes it does have all the information you need, but it is boring reading, not nice reading, very all over the place and I found a great find if you look in my reviews a much better one with easy reading, do buy that one, I would consider before buying the royal marsden and do bare in mind it is for cancer patients all though it does have all the revelant information that you will need, I still would consider buying something that you find interesting, I lost interest in all the subjects and nursing with this book, I would not recommend this book.

Average rating of 5/5 Attention to all student nurses!, 2010-03-17
All student nurses should buy a copy of this book; I have quoted from it several times in my assignments. Don't rely on the one's in the clinical setting, buy your own. This book contains up-to-date clinical skills information and, many hospitals design their own policies from it. It contains useful information such as injection techniques, injection sites, last offices, nuritional support, pain management and, much more.
Don't be without it!

Average rating of 4/5 The essential resourse for student nurses., 2010-06-21
This book is an essential buy for the student nurse, I bought a lot of books over my first year and although some were good books this is the only book apart from an Anatomy and Physiology book, that I would say is definitely needed in the first year. Unlike the non-student version, it is smaller sized so that it can fit in an average bag, easy to carry to university and to whatever placement you are on. All correct evidence based procedures for the nurse are listed and many references to support your learning. Pictures and tables help students assimilate the information and the text explains the reasoning behind the procedures. Great introductions and summaries all work to provide background theory and practical insight. The Royal Marsden is THE essential learning resource for nurses and it will be used for the whole of your nursing course and your nursing career. Hope this helps.
