This concise booklet gives clear plans for a range of poultry houses and runs. These include broody coops, arks, fold units and go up to a house for ten hens. It is not a "how-to" guide. The author does not give any instructions for the assembly of the components. The materials he uses are largely 2"x1" timber and 12mm plywood. You will need some basic carpentry skills to use the book. All measurements are imperial. This is a good and clear guide.

This book is excellent, gives well laid out instructions and measurement, easy to follow, great selection of hen houses, lots of information given. Great product, great price. Highly recommended.

This book is just over 90 pages and contains plans and instructions for a number of hen houses and ancillary constructions. The hen houses range in size from a small bantam coop to a ones accommodating around 10 birds. The plans are very well thought out and the illustrations are clear but the legends detailing the dimensions are hand written and you might need to put on your strong reading classes to decipher them. This book does fall short in explanation of construction technique there is only a short paragraph on tools, a novice could benefit greatly from more information in the area. For example a simple paragraph on fixings and description on cutting plywood would do a lot to enhance the usefulness of this book for beginners.
