Great Overview of Nursing, 2010-04-18 I bought this book before my nursing interview to give me a general guide to nursing. While there were a few sections that went totally over my head, most of it was very accessible and helped me feel much more prepared for my interview. I would say it is aimed at those in the process of applying for nursing and also first year students, with relevant information for all branches of nursing. Would definitely recommend it for anyone considering nursing.
excellent for first year stutent nurses, 2010-05-02 Ifound this book very useful for a first year student, everything is useful from the beginning to end.
a basic knowledge of nursing pathways., 2010-02-06 the first book to buy if you choose a nursing career, very helpfull in showing different fields of nursing.
Excellent book, 2010-07-12 I bought this on a whim as I am going back to uni in September to study Adult Nursing. I am very glad that I did buy it as it is full of handy hints and guidance about placements, writing assignments and nursing in general. It will be a book that I will keep on going back to throughout my 3 years.
Very mis-leading title, 2010-07-08 I was very disappointed with this book and I can honestly say it did not help me in seducing any student nurses at all. Some examples of the promising, but ultimately un-informative, topic headings are; "bed care," "medication administration," "consent," "nursing models" and "antamotical descriptions." Also the section on "holistic care" was not what I thought it was and was completely unhelpful.
However, I now have a girlfriend who is a student nurse (no thanks at all to any assistance from this book, I might add) and she can stop and start my heart anytime, so all is forgiven. 5 stars.
