Customer Reviews
Average rating of 4/5 Informative, 1999-08-22
I am pleased with the up to date information available in Atlas of the Universe. I bought the book as a research tool and found it very resourceful. If you are interested in the study of the planets and known cosmos or have a child interested in the same, this is a reasonable purchase.

Average rating of 5/5 Work of Art, 2006-07-08
Superb and comprehensive review of astronomy for the beginner and experienced enthusiast alike. Written in Patrick's inimitable and accurate way with great enthusiasm for every little detail about the planets and constellations. No errors I could notice either.

Average rating of 5/5 Best Astronomy Book, 2001-01-25
This book is good because it has all of the constalations and the most information on planets.

Average rating of 5/5 Clear, informative and beautiful, 2008-01-07
I'm not that keen on Patrick Moore as a presenter but this book is a marvel of clarity and concise information. The diagrams and sky maps are wonderfully informative and comprehensive. I'm one of those geeky people who appreciate all the minor but fascinating stuff, like the diagram which shows the orbits of transneptunian objects such as Sedna.
