This is a really good book to have even though you are in the standard or higher level class. It helps tremendously much and makes you get those few extra points on the test you know you want. It gives a few extra pointers, helps you with labs etc. You will not regret bying this book.

after being stuck with a book that took 60 pages to cover stoichiometry (not sure if i spelt that right but what the hey) for 2 years, just having this book for 2 months brought my grade up by 2 levels, it is consise and to the point

i wish that i had discovered it sooner!!!!!!

Average rating of 5/5 Superb, 2004-10-05
I have done IB Chemistry Higher on the 2002 exam. Dr. Nuess was my chemistry teacher at Altantic College. The book is frankly superb. It explains everything that IB students need in a succinct yet easy to to understand way.

The important thing is that it gives you a firm basis of principles and theories behind basic chemistry, which one can build on later no matter which field he goes into.

Average rating of 5/5 a GREAT review, 2003-07-26
Need help in IB chemistry? This is the real answer. Even thought you are a chemistry professor this book will help you with everything and anything. Lots of explanations, examples and experiments that will help you on tests, labs and exams. Definetly wortht the money!

Average rating of 3/5 Lacks detail, 2007-06-02
Although I have not yet taken my final exams, I feel as if this book does not compleatly cover what is in the syllabus. It often seems rushed, and topics are only briefly covered. I found myself having to re-read parts, trying to grasp a confusing concept that had been crammed into one or two paragraphs. This is not the book to use if there are some things you dont understand. It is only usefull to consolidate your understanding because it is so brief. Id recomend 'Advanced chemistry' instead. Although its for A level, I find that it gives great explainations and is easy to understand.
